[PRACTICE] Final Character Design: The Young Animator


I wanted The Young Animator to be a representation of a typically modern young adult, however I also wanted him to be a lanky and laid back, as a representation of modern animators being "lazy" when it comes to animation, for example; using tweens to cheat in animation or just use model animation to bypass frame by frame. I am hoping to create a character who appears to be the polar opposite to the Old Animator, so I created the Young Animator tall and lanky, in contrast to the Old Animators short and chubby stature. This is to coincide with their creations, two cats who are the polar opposites to each other. To decide on the colours, I asked members of my family and my students at Rotherham College for Arts and Technology for their opinion on the colours, and after a small debate, we decided that the colour above would be the perfect colour, below is the colour test I showed them:
